Lecturer in Mathematics - various opportunities available

Those interested are welcome to apply for this role whether looking for a permanent or fixed-term contract on a full-time or part-time basis. This can be discussed at any part of the recruitment process.We also welcome applicants working in secondary education who may be interested into moving into a post-16 setting to teach maths.

At New College Durham you will have the autonomy to deliver maths lessons using your own resources and in your own sequence, all whilst working in a highly collaborative enviroment with expert practitioners. Under the leadership of a progressive and committed Head of Maths you will be well supported to deliver high quality lessons to post-16 FE students, part-time adults and apprentices.

Plans for maths delivery in 24-25 include class sizes of 14, 90 minute lessons, streamed classes, and no maths classes will contain students studying a mixture of maths qualifications. You will be supported with regular CPD from our in-house Teaching, Learning & Innovation team and have access to high-quality resources including iPads and CTouch interactive boards.
