  • Wellness challenges – walk and talk, fitness activities, sponsored events.

  • Creative workshops including language sessions and lino printing workshops

  • Opportunities to talk through our Chat Cafes and Walk and Talk sessions

  • Annual staff survey complemented by You Said We Did

Throughout the academic year there are several workshops and creative activities staff are can freely join or even deliver. In addition to in person support, our staff have access to our Health and Wellbeing portal and Termly newsletter which provide insights and information on various health and wellbeing topics.

 Our staff benefit from a healthier environment and culture, increased access to health information and interventions where they wouldn’t normally including workplace activity that has the potential to save lives such as mini health checks and awareness sessions on smoking, high cholesterol levels and early stage cancers, stress management workshops, quite or relaxation space in our staff room.

We continue to look at ways in which we can support our workforce through;

  •  Physical health interventions

  • Mental health support

  • Flexible working arrangements

  • Social wellbeing

  • Financial wellbeing

Our dedication to staff’s wellbeing is demonstrated in our partnership with the Better Health at Work Award and the Inclusive Employee Standard, where we receive constant feedback and guidance from our peers and other institutions to ensure our support package is reliable and exceeding expectations.

"We started the award in 2020 as we were keen to help improve the wellbeing of our employees, particularly post covid. One of our values is putting people first, and we felt like this was a step in the right direction to achieve this." Karen Milne, Training and Development Manager.
