Supply Pool - Art & Design Lecturer
The college currently administers its own supply pool of staff for assignments on a casual basis and is available for individuals who wish to undertake lecturing, learner support or administration work.
Opportunities occur across the entire College curriculum and in the various administrative centres within the College, together with Adult Learning courses at various venues within the local community.
Assignments can be as little as a couple hours a week up to full time working and many supply pool staff have gone on to hold fixed term and permanent posts within the College.
Assignments may involve contact with children under 18 or vulnerable members of society, therefore, under Part V of the Police Act 1997, all individuals engaged in such occupations are required to obtain a certificate of disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. This must be carried out before any work is offered.
If you are looking to further your career at a groundbreaking and award-winning College, we’d love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing clear, developmental feedback that enables students to improve, refine and achieve their potential
• Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching to support individual needs and outcomes
• Supporting students in the development of portfolio work for progression into HE, apprenticeships or employment
• Contributing to assessment, internal verification and quality processes
• Maintaining safe, well-organised and inspiring studio environments in line with health and safety procedures
Teaching may include a range of disciplines such as Fine Art, Graphics and Illustration, Fashion and Textiles, Fashion Promotion and Styling or Interior Architecture / 3D Design, depending on your specialism.
As part of a creative curriculum that reflects real industry practice, the role may require a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evening sessions to support project delivery, exhibitions and enrichment activity.
